Returning/Exchanging/Refunding an Item
If you wish to return goods bought from us, please contact us either by phone or email (01-8732998 or info@thomasgear.com). For a full refund, goods must be returned in unworn and in pristine condition along with any packaging/box and receipt/invoice (PayPal Print out) within 14 days of purchase.

Warranty
All items sold by Thomas Gear Jewellers come with a lifetime warranty, which covers any manufacturing defects. All of our jewellery is handmade to a very high standard and any wear and tear or damage after delivery is the customer's responsibility. Any work carried out on the item by a third party is not covered by our guarantee. Note: You can be assured that due to the excellent skills of our diamond setters our diamonds will not just fall out but can be dislodged if knocked or a claw is damaged/lifted, all stones are set securely and checked prior to despatch.
Contact us Immediately, if at any time your diamond becomes loose so that we can advise you accordingly. We strongly recommend that you fully insure your diamond jewellery, as loss of any diamonds does not fall under the Thomas Gear Jewellers warranty.
About returns
- We can't accept returned pierced earrings, this is for hygiene reasons
- Any item that has been worn or shows any signs of wear, cannot be accepted as a return, unless the item has been found to be defective
- Any diamond rings bought, it is the customers responsibility to have the diamonds insured against loss
Our refund policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Items are charged at the price shown on the date you place your order. However, Thomas Gear Jewellers reserves the right to change prices at any time.

We never hold your credit or debit card details at our office or on any of our computer systems. However, in the absence of any negligence on our part, we cannot be held legally responsible for any loss you may experience if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering goods from the Thomas Gear Jewellers site. Do not send your credit card information via email, as we cannot accept this method of payment. Credit or Debit card payments can also be received by phone, please note item(s) purchased both online or by phone will be sent to the card holders address only, this is in compliance with your respective bank and also ensures no unautorised use of your credit/debit card.
Shipping
Thomas Gear Jewellers expect to ship your order within 24 hours if item is in stock from the date of receipt, however if item is out of stock we aim to ship to you within 15 days. If your order is going to take more than 15 days, we will contact you immediately with an estimated delivery date, and you will have the right to change your order or cancel.
Free delivery includes registered postage to anywhere in the world. Thomas Gear Jewellers are not responsible for any items lost in post. If you require item to be sent by courier we can provide this service at couriers price.

The online jewellery is also purchasable in the shop. All items carry the TJG trademark (Thomas Joseph Gear) and also the Irish Government Hallmark from the Assay Office in Dublin Castle. All of our handmade Diamond Rings come with an Individual Thomas Gear Valuation Certificate.
All diamonds that weigh over 0.50 Carat, come with an additional independent IGI Certificate (http://www.igiworldwide.com/)
